Figure it out for yourself, my lad,You've all that the greatest of men have had,
Two arms, two hands, two legs, two eyes
And a brain to use if you would be wise.
With this equipment they all began,
So start for the top and say, "I can."
Look them over, the wise and greatThey take their food from a common plate,
And similar knives and forks they use,
With similar laces they tie their shoes.
The world considers them brave and smart,
But you've all they had when they made their start.

You can triumph and come to skill,
You can be great if you only will.
You're well equipped for what fight you choose,
You have legs and arms and a brain to use,
And the man who has risen great deeds to do
Began his life with no more than you.

You are the handicap you must face,
You are the one who must choose your place,
You must say where you want to go,
How much you will study the truth to know.
God has equipped you for life, but He
Lets you decide what you want to be.
Courage must come from the soul within,
The man must furnish the will to win.
So figure it out for yourself, my lad.
You were born with all that the great have had,
With your equipment they all began,
Get hold of yourself and say: "I can."

Loving every minute of it, and even tyring to dirty it up by leaning over the side to pull some grass into the pool! We had a good time, and thank you Jenny for her first swimsuit! A 2T and it fits her perfect as a 10 month old. I had to put a barrette in the back to keep the straps tighter, but it couldn't have been more perfect!

decorations going up,
and beers starting to crack open. The game was awesome, being down 0 to 10 at one point, I knew that the Saints are a second half team, so I knew they would come out strong. I just figured that the game would have been closer, but right after the interception and touch down for the Saints, the
"WHO DAT" song was being played on repeat and I would be all right if I never here that song again, but what a victory for the Saints. First time in the Super Bowl and Taking the whole thing!!!!! GO SAINTS!
Or when Grandpa would ACCIDENTALLY turn one of the dice over when he thought we weren't looking just to get himself a few more points!
I shared some of my very fond memories with my student Ali and then thought about how this conversation will happen when Renee gets to be this age (12) and I know that both grandparents will be there for her.
Well as soon as Renee heard "BATH" a big grin came across her face and she was so excited! She better not get any ideas and start pooing everywhere just to take a bath, but you never know!
